ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Friday felicitated China’s President Xi Jinping on being elected for the position for a third term.
The PM said in a message of greetings on behalf of the people of Pakistan and the government, “The confidence of the Chinese parliament and people in President Xi Jinping is a recognition of his excellent leadership skills.”
Xi Jinping was elected unanimously as the President of China for the next five years by the People National People’s Congress (NPC).

PM Pakistan said, “Xi Jinping has become a symbol of China’s development and prosperity. China has become the top economic power in the world under his leadership, and this journey continues.”
Shehbaz Sharif said under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping, China was making extraordinary achievements in every sphere, including technology, education, health, innovation, and agriculture.
He hoped the tried and tested evergreen strategic ties between the two nations would be further strengthened during President Xi Jinping’s next five-year term. The PM extended his best wishes to President Xi Jinping, the government, and the people of China.
