ISTANBUL: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday, citing huge potential in the field of alternative energy in both countries, called for Pakistan and Turkey to partner for the production of hydel, wind, and solar energy to reduce the emission of carbon and increase investment cooperation.
While addressing the launching ceremony of PNS Khaibar for the Pakistan Navy, the prime minister said it was crucial the two brotherly countries transformed their relationship into a strategic collaboration.
Earlier on his arrival at the venue, the prime minister was welcomed by Turkish president Erdogan. The prime minister was accompanied by ministers and a high-level delegation on the occasion.

Appreciating the ‘visionary leadership of President Erdogan, the prime minister said he had transformed Turkiye into a modern society. He also lauded the Turkish government’s social welfare projects besides transforming the industrial and agriculture sectors.
He also asked the defence experts from Pakistan and Turkiye to increase their defense production capacity and strengthen bilateral cooperation for regional peace. – APP
