ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday announced a Ramazan package to provide free wheat flour to the poor people.
The package–first of its kind– is aimed at facilitating the inflation-hit population.
Chairing a review meeting, prime minister Shehbaz Sharif said after the scheme’s launch in Punjab, the federal government would cooperate with provinces to extend the program.
PM stresses flour supply to needy families
He directed the authorities concerned to make a comprehensive strategy for the supply of flour to needy families as soon as possible.
Finance Secretary Mujahid Sherdil and Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman briefed the premier about the Ramazan package.
