ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) organized a blood donation camp to encourage voluntary blood donations and raise awareness about the importance of donating blood. The camp was organized in commemoration of World Blood Donor Day, observed annually on June 14th.
The event aimed to address the critical need for blood donations. Members of the community, including staff, students, and volunteers, enthusiastically participated in the blood donation camp, demonstrating their commitment to humanitarian causes and contributing to the collective effort to save lives.
Dr. Farwa Sijjeel, Incharge Blood Bank PIMS, emphasized the significance of voluntary blood donations in addressing the ongoing blood shortage and meeting the transfusion needs of patients undergoing medical treatments. She appreciated the generosity of donors and underscored the importance of continued support for blood donation initiatives throughout the year.
