ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has introduced connected flights between Pakistan and sixteen captivating cities of China via Beijing in partnership with Air China, PIA Country Manager Bilal Afzal revealed on Sunday.
He said that these Chinese cities include Urumqi, Nanjing, Harbin, Hangzhou, Changchun Shenzhen, Xian, Shenyang, Hohhot, Dunhuang, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Chongqing.
PIA has established a booth in the Pakistan Pavilion at CIFTIS to showcase its achievements, especially the role played by the national flag carrier to consolidate people-to-people contacts between the people of both countries.
He said that the passengers could also travel from sixteen cities in China to Islamabad by availing of this offer.
Bilal Afzal said that currently, PIA is operating one weekly flight on the Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabad route every Sunday, but it is also working on a plan to add a new direct flight between Pakistan and China.
PIA Offers Discounts
He said that PIA offers a 20% discount for students with free baggage of eighty kgs for economy class and one hundred kgs for executive economy, respectively, on flights between Pakistan and China. The passengers can get further discounts if tickets are purchased online.
He added that PIA has also offered discounts on cargo from Pakistan to China and vice versa, and traders and businessmen could benefit from it.
Bilal Afzal said that the Pakistani community, particularly businessmen and students living in China, have expressed pleasure in discounts.
The passengers could also avail of an increase in baggage allowance during their traveling between Pakistan and China.
