ABBOTTABAD: Peshawar High Court (PHC) Abbottabad bench reinstated Dr. Omer Farooq, the former deposed Dean of Ayub Medical College, in its verdict on Tuesday.
According to the details, the former dean of Ayub Medical College was removed from his position by the Chairman of the Board of Directors a week ago, citing his appointment as a violation of merit.
The duties were handed over to the new dean, Professor Dr. Asif Kareem, who assumed office.
In response to the decision, Dr. Omer Farooq promptly contested the removal before the PHC Abbottabad bench, seeking redress. With the court’s verdict, a new power struggle for the dean’s position has now unfolded within Ayub Medical College. —APP
