ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s caretaker government has decreased the price of petrol by Rs64.04 per liter and diesel by Rs52.99 per liter during the last three months.
A chart shared by the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum on the official social media account shows that the rate of petrol at ex-depot was 331.38 rupees per liter in October, and now it has decreased to 267.34 rupees per liter in the current month, directly benefiting consumers and reducing the financial burden on fuel expenses.

Likewise, the price of diesel in October was 329.18 rupees per liter, which has now been reduced to 276.19 rupees per liter, providing consumers with a benefit of 52.99 rupees.
The drop in the price of petroleum products is likely to contribute considerably to easing the financial burden on consumers.
These reductions are anticipated to have positive implications for different sectors of the economy, offering a reprieve to businesses and consumers alike.
