ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar has announced the government would keep petrol and high-speed diesel prices unchanged until April 15 amid estimates that petroleum products prices might go down by April 1.

However, the minister announced a decrease of 10 rupees per litre each in kerosene oil and light-speed diesel prices, bringing them to 180.29 and 174.68 rupees, respectively. The new prices will also take effect from April 1.
As per the media reports, the price of petrol stands at 272 rupees per litre whereas price of high-speed diesel per litre is 293 rupees.
Earlier, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority had also proposed a reduction in petroleum prices in line with the descending trend in the global market.
