LAHORE: Boosted by an impressive display of batting prowess and a triumph over Lahore Qalanders last night, Peshawar Zalmi is set to take on Islamabad United in a match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 today.

The game is scheduled to unfold at the Gaddafi Stadium, which witnessed an intense showdown previously as Peshawar posted a formidable total of 211 runs, subsequently restraining Lahore to 203 despite Rassie van der Dussen’s stellar unbeaten knock of 104 runs from 52 balls.

Peshawar Zalmi played four matches thus far, securing victory in two encounters and conceding defeat in two. Conversely, Islamabad United has played three matches, managing to emerge victorious only once. Given the current season’s track record, Peshawar Zalmi could be considered the frontrunners for tonight’s clash.

Expected line-ups:

Peshawar Zalmi: Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Mohammad Haris, Haseebullah Khan, Rovman Powell, Paul Walter, Asif Ali, Luke Wood, Naveen-ul-Haq, Arif Yaqoob, Salman Irshad.

Islamabad United: Colin Munro, Alex Hales, Agha Salman, Shadab Khan, Azam Khan, Jordan Cox, Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf, Hunain Shah, Rumman Raees, Naseem Shah.
