Rawalpindi: Captain Hussain Jahangir and Havaldar Shafiqullah who embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation in Hassan Khel area of Peshawar district, were laid to rest in their home towns with full military honour on Monday, the military’s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Captain Hussain Jahangir, aged 25 and a resident of Rahim Yar Khan district, Havildar Shafiq Ullah, aged 36 and from Karak district.
Senior military officers, relatives of the martyrs and large number of local people attended the funeral.
The ISPR said, “These sacrifices strengthen our resolve”. The armed forces of Pakistan, along with the nation, are determined for complete elimination of the menace of terrorism, the ISPR further said.
