Peshawar Blast: US Reiterates Support for Pakistan Against Terrorism

ISLAMABAD: In the aftermath suicide bomb attack in Peshawar on Monday afternoon, the United States (US) extended support to Islamabad.

In a statement posted by the US embassy in Islamabad on their official Twitter account, the embassy stated that the “US Mission to Pakistan extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and relatives of the victims of the horrific attack.”

The embassy added that it supported Pakistan and condemned all forms of terrorism.

“The United States (US) stands with Pakistan condemning all forms of terrorism.”

45 killed in Peshawar blast

A suicide explosion at a mosque outside the Police Lines in Peshawar killed at least 45 and injured 157 others on Monday afternoon.

The blast was so powerful that it caused a section of the mosque to collapse, trapping dozens underneath.
