PESHAWAR: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has launched an operation in Peshawar to rehabilitate individuals struggling with drug addiction.
Operation “Da Haq Awaaz” was conducted with the support of Rehabilitation Centre Peshawar. The operation took place in Hayatabad, Factory Market and Industrial Area.
Initially, 26 drug addicts were relocated to the ‘Da Haq Awaaz’ Rehabilitation Centre Peshawar, where they were provided with clothing, food, and bedding adhering to hygiene standards.
Blood screening was conducted to assess drug addiction, and the individuals are receiving top-notch medical care during the rehabilitation process.
Efforts are being made to locate the families of the affected individuals. The district administration and social welfare department collaborated fully in this operation. The subsequent phase aims to rehabilitate an additional 100 drug addicts. The spokesperson emphasized that the objective of the operation is to transform these individuals into productive members of society. —APP
