ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemning the attack took place in Karachi on Sunday night killing two Chinese citizens and injuring another, said the perpetrators of this attack could not be Pakistanis but were the sworn enemies of Pakistan.
Expressing his deep sadness and shock over the incident, he offered his heartfelt condolences to the leadership and the people of China, especially the families of the victims. PM Shehbaz Sharif, in a statement on his X timeline, also prayed for the early recovery of the wounded.
He added that an immediate probe was underway to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
“Pakistan stands committed to safeguarding our Chinese friends. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure their security and well-being,” he assured.
Pakistan Vows This Barbaric Act will not Go Unpunished
On the other hand, Pakistan’ Foreign Office said in a statement on Monday that Islamabad has strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack near Karachi airport last night, which claimed the lives of two Chinese engineers while injuring another. The statement said, “We extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, both Chinese and Pakistani, and offer prayers for the swift recovery of the injured,”.
It added that this deplorable act of terrorism is an assault not only on Pakistan but also on the enduring friendship between China and Pakistan. The statement maintained, “We remain resolute in bringing to justice those responsible for this cowardly attack, including the Majeed Brigade,”.
The statement said that Pakistan’s security and law enforcement agencies would spare no effort in apprehending the perpetrators and their facilitators. It added that this barbaric act will not go unpunished.
The statement said that Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in close contact with the Chinese Embassy for coordination and facilitation. Pakistan and China are close partners and iron-brothers, united by a bond of mutual respect and shared destiny, it said. Islamabad reaffirms it’s unwavering resolve to the safety and security of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions in Pakistan, and will continue to work hand in hand with our Chinese brothers to defeat the forces of terror, the statement further said.
