ISLAMABAD: Political analysts and experts in Srinagar assert that the residents of the region of Indian-Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have endured 76 years of cruel occupation of India, which they view as a severe and prolonged occupation.
According to reports in Kashmir Media Service, political analysts and experts have raised their concerns in statements and interviews. They said that the Muslim population in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir is facing a sustained assault on all aspects of their lives, orchestrated by the Modi government with the support of RSS. This campaign aims to eradicate symbols of Muslim identity from the region.
These analysts and experts emphasize that the controversial actions by the Modi government on August 5, 2019, marked the start of a harsher chapter in Kashmir’s history.
They highlighted that India is systematically disempowering the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on political, cultural, economic, and constitutional fronts.
They note that since August 2019, the Modi government has taken various measures, including demographic, administrative, and electoral changes, further disempowering the people of Kashmir.

Political analysts and experts contend that every action by the Indian government is designed to erode the cultural, linguistic, and religious identity of Muslims in IIOJK.
They draw parallels between India’s actions in IIOJK and the Israeli government’s settler policies employed in occupied Palestine.
Furthermore, they decry the ongoing extrajudicial killings, arrests, and torture carried out by Indian military, police, and paramilitary forces in the occupied territory.
These analysts and experts lament that Narendra Modi seeks to impose the Hindutva ideology in IIOJK. Still, his government’s oppressive policies only strengthened Kashmiri Muslims’ resolve to resist Indian occupation. They maintain that the Modi government’s plans and tactics will fail in the occupied region. —APP
