SRINAGAR: All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that permanent peace in South Asia is impossible without a just resolution of the long-standing Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations Jammu and Kashmir people.
In a statement, the APHC spokesman deplored that Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government was hell-bent upon suppressing the Kashmiris’ struggle to secure their right to self-determination however would never succeed in its nefarious designs.
He said that the Indian forces have stepped up their state terrorism in the Jammu and Kashmir region, where cordon and search operations, arrests, killings, torture, molestation of women, destruction of properties, and other brutalities have become routine matters.
UN must take steps for resolution of Kashmir dispute
The spokesman said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have the right to demand the settlement of the long-standing dispute as per the relevant UN resolutions.
The spokesman said that India must remember that its repression policy has failed to intimidate the Kashmiri people into submission in the past and will also meet the same fate in the future.
The spokesman said Kashmir had become a flashpoint in the region, and it was time for the UN and the world powers to act now. “The UN must take steps to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute as per its resolutions.
The world community must ask India to fulfill its pledges of giving the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination,” the spokesman added.
