Pakistan has submitted an initial squad of over 20 players for the tournament, recently sent to the International Cricket Council (ICC) just two days ago. Notably, opener Saim Ayub, currently undergoing treatment in London for an injury sustained during the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town, is part of this lineup.
The provisional squad features prominent players, including captain Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Tayyab Tahir, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, among others. The final roster is set to be revealed on February 10.
