ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday unveiled a 15-member Pakistan Shaheens squad for the forthcoming Top End T20 Series in Darwin, Australia, set to take place from 14 to 24 August.
Middle-order batter Mohammad Irfan Khan, who has previously represented Pakistan in nine ODIs and 14 T20Is, has been appointed captain for the tournament. Pakistan Shaheens will begin their campaign against Bangladesh ‘A’ on 14 August at TIO Stadium in Darwin. The squad features several players with prior international experience.

Abdul Samad, who has played in five T20Is, Faisal Akram (three ODIs), Haider Ali (two ODIs and 35 T20Is), and Mubasir Khan (one T20I) will add strength and experience to the side.
Pace bowlers
Additionally, pace bowlers Ahmed Daniyal and Mohammad Salman Mirza, both named in the squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh, have also been included in the touring party.
Shaheens are set to play their second match against the Scorchers on 16 August at TIO Stadium, followed by a fixture against the Renegades on 18 August at the same venue.
The team will then face the Kingsmen at DXC Arena on 19 August, the Strikers on 21 August, and Nepal on 22 August, all at DXC Arena.
The semi-finals and final of the Top End T20 Series are scheduled for 24 August. Details regarding the training camp for the squad heading to Darwin will be released in due course.
