A Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official said on Wednesday that the board could not comment on Sri Lanka’s decision to ask ICC to investigate allegations stemming from the green shirts’ tour to the island nation earlier this year for the test series.

After opposition lawmaker Nalin Bandara alleged in parliament that the two-match test series, which ended in a 1-1 tie, had been fixed. After the allegations, Sri Lanka’s cricket board announced that it has invited the International Cricket Council (ICC) to look into match-fixing allegations.

Sri Lankan cricket board has invited ICC General Manager Alex Marshall to look into the allegations of Nalin Bandara.

The PCB official denied having any communication with the Sri Lankan Board or the ICC in light of the recently discovered allegations.

“Neither the ICC nor the Sri Lanka Board have contacted us regarding the allegations made by Bandara regarding the split test series between the two nations, which ended in a draw. Therefore, we are unable to comment unless and until we are approached,” a PCB official said.

The official insisted that members of the ICC anti-corruption unit constantly keep a close eye on international matches.
