LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) chairman of management committee Najam Sethi announced on Sunday that Pakistan would face Afghanistan in the 3-match T20 series in Sharjah in March.

Najam Sethi had earlier said during a press conference that the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) contacted them after Australia pulled out of the series.

The PCB Chairman had suggested Afghanistan board that the T20 series would have better ratings and more viewers. He had also told the ACB that the ODI series would not benefit both teams.

PCB chief says he supports ACC

PCB chairman also said in the tweet that he supported ACC’s decision to grant Afghanistan an equal share of ACC revenues like BCCI, PCB, SLC, and BCB.

Pakistan has won all three T20 matches, and all four ODI matches against Afghanistan so far; hence have a 100 percent record against the neighbours.

Pakistan’s last victory against Afghanistan was in the 2022 Asia Cup, a match Pakistan won by just one wicket.
