LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Friday stopped the announcement of T20 World Cup squad after expressing displeasure over the process of selection.
Mohsin Naqvi is unhappy over the fact that proper meetings were not held before finalising the squad, according to media reports.
He has also written a letter to the selection committee members in a bid to seek clarification over the issue.
Minutes of the meetings held by the selection committee were not shared with Naqvi which left the PCB chief unhappy.
The squad would not be announced until the selection committee completes the entire process.
The required process will be completed within the next three hours, after which the squad will be announced.
Deadline for Squad’s Announcement
The deadline for squad announcement is May 25 and any changes after that will need approval from the ICC’s Event Technical Committee.
Pakistan are in Group A of the event, alongside Ireland, Canada, India, and USA.
