ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Mike Hesson as the white-ball head coach of the Pakistan men’s cricket team, effective from May 26, 2025.

Hesson takes over the role following a comprehensive selection process that reviewed multiple candidates. The position became vacant after Pakistan toured New Zealand in April.

Mike brings extensive international experience and a strong track record in building competitive teams. We are confident in his ability to guide Pakistan’s white-ball squad to new heights. Welcome aboard, Mike!”

The role had remained vacant since Gary Kirsten’s departure in October 2024. Aaqib Javed had been serving as interim coach until his contract ended in February 2025.
