ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has expressed gratitude to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his steadfast support to Pakistan during difficult times.
According to a statement from the NA Secretariat, the meeting took place during a royal luncheon hosted by the Crown Prince for Muslim leaders in the kingdom for the Hajj pilgrimage. Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori was also present at the event.
During his conversation with the Saudi Crown Prince, Ayaz Sadiq acknowledged Riyadh’s longstanding diplomatic and economic backing. “Saudi Arabia has always stood by Pakistan during difficult times,” Sadiq said. “We are grateful for the kingdom’s leadership’s clear stance on matters concerning Pakistan.”

According to the statement the Crown Prince reaffirmed his commitment to working together with Muslim nations to address the common challenges facing the Islamic world.
“I am deeply grateful to the Saudi leadership, especially the crown prince, for inviting me as a royal guest on the sacred journey of Hajj,” Governor Tessori said in an X post.
“The exemplary arrangements for the pilgrims and the services to the Muslim Ummah are commendable,” he said.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif accompanied by Chief of the Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir paid a two-day state visit to Saudi Arabia and performed Umrah, offering prayers for the country’s success in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
During his visit, the prime minister “expressed appreciation for the kingdom’s proactive role during recent tensions between Pakistan and India, and its steadfast commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region and beyond”, according to a statement from the PM’s office.
