RAMALLAH: Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has urged the international community to form a united front to stop Israel’s barbarism attacks in the Gaza Strip, Western media reported on Sunday.
Shtayyeh during a meeting with 25 ambassadors, representatives and consuls said our priority is stop Israeli aggression and bringing in medical and relief aid to prevent a major humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza strip.
Scores of Palestinians were killed in Gaza on Sunday after Israel increased its strikes on the besieged enclave while another convoy of aid trucks arrived in the Hamas-run territory that faces shortages of essential supplies.
The conflict started after Hamas stormed across the border into Israel on October 7, launching a raid that killed at least 1,400 people, according to Israeli officials.
Israel has hit back with a relentless bombing which has so far killed more than 4,600 Palestinians, mainly civilians, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
Meanwhile, thousands of people held a protest demonstration in Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia on Sunday to express solidary with the Palestinian people and demanded a halt to the Israeli offensive in Gaza.

While pro-Palestinian protests also took place on Sunday in Belgrade and the Montenegrin capital Podgorica.
Sarajevo Mayor Benjamina Karic addressing the protesters said the city knew how to live without water and food and see children being killed. He was referring to the 1992-95 siege during which Serb forces killed 11,000 people in the city including 1,600 children.
