RAWALPINDI: In a display of unwavering resolve against the enemies of peace and stability, Pakistan’s security forces successfully neutralized terrorist threats in separate operations in the Gwadar district of southwestern Balochistan province and Bajaur district of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of the country.
According to a statement released by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in Gwadar district, Balochistan. The terrorists, armed with small arms and hand grenades, targeted a military convoy. Swift and efficient response from the security personnel ensured that the terrorists were eliminated without causing harm to any military or civilian individuals.
Security Forces Operation in Bajaur
Meanwhile, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in Bajaur district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulted in the elimination of four terrorists. One terrorist was apprehended during the operation, which took place in the Charmang area. The ISPR revealed that the operation was launched based on credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists. Intense gunfire ensued between the security forces and the militants, leading to the elimination of four terrorists. A huge cache of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and a suicide vest were also recovered during the operation. The apprehended terrorist had been actively involved in various acts of terrorism, including suicide blasts, targeting both security forces and innocent citizens.
The ISPR informed that 24-year-old Sepoy Muhammad Shoaib lost his life during the gunfight, demonstrating the ultimate sacrifice made by the valiant security personnel in the line of duty.
The ISPR emphasized that thorough sanitization of the affected areas is being conducted to root out any remaining terrorists. Pakistan’s security forces remain steadfast in their commitment to eradicating the menace of terrorism from the country, ensuring the safety and prosperity of its citizens.
