RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces on Wednesday conducted an intelligence-based operation in the southern area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
According to ISPR, the raid was conducted in response to the reported presence of terrorists in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district. “Our troops effectively engaged the location, resulting in the elimination of a terrorist identified as Habib Ur Rehman,” said ISPR.
The Statement said that the eliminated terrorist was actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces and innocent civilians in the region.
The security forces have also recovered a cache of ammunition, weapons, and explosives from the killed terrorist.
A sanitization operation is currently underway to eradicate any remaining terrorists in the area, reflecting the steadfast commitment of Pakistan’s Security Forces to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
