Pakistan’s Security Forces Kill Seven Terrorists in D I Khan

Pakistani forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces have killed seven terrorists in two separate operations carried out in the Dera Ismail Khan District of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a military statement said on Sunday.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army in a statement said that on February 23, an intelligence-based operation was conducted on the reported presence of the terrorists by the security forces in the Daraban area.

It said that during the operation, the troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and resultantly, four terrorists were sent to hell.

The ISPR further said in another encounter that took place in the Maddi area, the Pakistani troops effectively neutralised three terrorists.

“Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area,” it said.

Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

These operations come days after security forces killed six terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in the Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to the ISPR Director General, security forces conducted a total of 59,775 operations last year during which 925 terrorists were killed and 383 officers and soldiers were martyred.
