RAWALPINDI: In a major success in the war against terrorism, Pakistan’s security forces killed 10 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Pezu area of the Tank district of Northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday, the military’s media wing said in a statement.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out over the reported presence of terrorists, adding that an intense fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists. ISPR added that 10 terrorists were killed during the exchange of fire.
Terrorists Involved in Attacks on Security Forces
“These terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as extortion and killing of innocent civilians. A large cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered during the operation,” ISPR said in a statement.
Locals of the area lauded the security forces’ operation. The security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
