LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has reportedly nominated the country’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar as caretaker prime minister, local media reported on Sunday.
Local media reported that the PML-N is taking the coalition parties including PPP, into confidence over Ishaq Dar’s nomination.

Local media quoted sources as saying, “There is a possibility of a consensus on Ishaq Dar’s nominee in the meetings of the key leadership of the PML-N and the PPP as the advisory committees of the two parties are expected to meet in next few days,”.

Local media also reported that PPP formed a consultation committee that comprised federal ministers Naveed Qamar, Khursheed Shah, and ex-PM Yusuf Raza Gilani.
Earlier, in an interview with a private television, PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal expressed hope that the coalition partners would agree on the name of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
