Pakistan’s Ruling Party Chief Calls for Unified Relief Effort

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has called for a unified approach among political parties, governments, and institutions to deliver relief to the public.

In a key consultative meeting of the PML-N held in Lahore today, Nawaz Sharif emphasized the need for Federal and provincial governments to cut expenses in order to provide greater relief to the people.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed Nawaz Sharif on the ongoing discussions with leaders of other political parties. Furthermore, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz reported on the measures being implemented to reduce electricity bills in the province.

Nawaz Sharif commended the federal government’s relief package of fifty billion rupees and the Punjab government’s forty-six billion rupees package for electricity consumers.
