Pakistan’s Prime Minister Departs for Doha After Attending FII Moot in Riyadh

RIYADH: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and his accompanying delegation left Riyadh on Wednesday for Doha after a two-day visit to attend the 8th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The PM was seen off at King Khalid International Airport by Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Pakistani Ambassador to the Kingdom Ahmed Farouk, and several other senior officials.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are marching forward together to strengthen their brotherly ties.

The PM Shehbaz while addressing a news conference along with Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, in Riyadh stated that under the dynamic leadership of Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, we will achieve prosperity and progress not only for the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan but the entire Muslim Ummah.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also held an important meeting with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on the sidelines of the eighth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) forum in Riyadh.

During the meeting, both sides expressed the resolve to strengthen the bilateral economic cooperation, and collaboration in different sectors, including trade, investment, and economy.

During his speech at the 8th edition of the two-day Future Investment Initiative (FII), the Pakistani Prime Minister said that no country in the world could overcome today’s challenges alone and could harness the potential of tomorrow without the support of others.

“Pakistan stands ready to join those who dare to dream big. We invite you to invest, to bring your expertise and creativity to Pakistan, as we build a future, rooted in resilience and shared prosperity,” he said.
