Pakistan’s President Visits Quaid’s Mausoleum, Pays Tribute

KARACHI: Pakistan’s President, Dr. Arif Alvi, on Sunday visited the mausoleum of the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah. The President paid rich tributes to Quaid on the occasion of his 146th birthday anniversary celebrations.

The President offered fateha and laid a floral wreath for the nation’s founder.

President Alvi also prayed for the prosperity and development of the country.

The President later inked his impressions in the visitors’ book.

While talking to journalists, President Alvi said the nation should honestly follow the guiding principles of Quaid-e-Azam for the country’s development.

Quaid’s guiding principles

He said the Quaid was well aware of the maltreatment and misbehavior meted out to minority groups, including Muslims in the subcontinent.

President Alvi said the poet of the east, Allama Iqbal, dreamt of Pakistan and Quaid-e-Azam struggled for its real existence. The President said that the dream came true through the struggle of the father of the nation.

He said, ‘We must pursue Quaid’s guiding principles for the country’s development.’

He advised the nation to follow Quaid’s unity, faith, and discipline principles.

He said their real destination was to develop the nation per Quaid’s vision.
