Pakistan’s President Visits Chinese Embassy, Offers Condolences After Karachi Attack

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari visited the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad on Thursday, where he met with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong to offer heartfelt condolences following the deadly terrorist attack on Chinese nationals in Karachi.

The President expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of life in the attack on Monday. During their meeting, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to bringing the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice and expressed solidarity with the Chinese community during this difficult time.

In discussions with Ambassador Jiang, President Zardari highlighted the significant contributions of the Chinese government and people to Pakistan’s socio-economic development. He remarked that those who oppose the growing partnership between the two nations are driven by hostility.

The President emphasized that such cowardly acts will not undermine the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Chinese nationals residing in the country.
