ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President, Dr. Arif Alvi, stressed the importance of raising awareness about children born with cleft lips and palates, highlighting that treatment for these conditions could significantly enhance the quality of life for affected children.
He made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the Pakistan Cleft Lip Association and the British Plastic Surgery Team in Islamabad.
The delegation, headed by Chairman Dr. Ejaz Bashir of the Association, included officials from the Federal Ministry of Health.
President Alvi underscored the significance of addressing current health challenges and adopting state-of-the-art technology to meet future healthcare needs.
