ISLAMABAD: The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, took to Twitter on Saturday to share a picture showcasing a warm and affectionate interaction between himself and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

President Alvi had traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage. During his visit, he participated in an annual ceremony hosted by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the Royal Court’s Mina Palace. The ceremony was attended by presidents, prime ministers, senior Islamic dignitaries, and other guests who performed Hajj this year.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman shook hands with various leaders at the ceremony, including King Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah of Malaysia, President Macky Sall of the Republic of Senegal, President Mohammed Shahabuddin of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Vice President Faisal Naseem of the Republic of Maldives, Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Prime Minister Najib Mikati of the Republic of Lebanon, Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Prime Minister Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou of the Republic of Niger, Prime Minister Mohammad Ibrahim Shtayyeh of the State of Palestine, and the speakers of the house of representatives from several Islamic countries.

The warm interaction between President Alvi and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reflects the close and longstanding ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The two nations have a history of cooperation and collaboration in various fields, including political, economic, and cultural domains.
