Pakistan’s President, PM Express Greif Over Martyrdom of Pakistan Army Officer

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of Captain Osama bin Arshad in exchange for fire with terrorists in South Waziristan on Tuesday.

President Zardari in a message said that the nation will always remember the sacrifice of Captain Osama. He said the Pakistani nation salutes its young men who are ready to make any sacrifice for the defence of the country.  He said that terrorists will be dealt with iron hands.

Asif Ali Zardari also expressed condolences to the bereaved family of martyr Captain Osama bin Arshad.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed grief over the martyrdom of Captain Osama bin Arshad. In a statement, he prayed for high ranks of martyrs in the hereafter and patience for the bereaved family.                      

The Prime Minister said the whole nation salutes the brave sons of Pakistani soil who stand resolute against the terrorists.  He added that the war against terrorism will continue till the menace is completely eliminated.          

According to ISPR, on July 9 (Tuesday), a fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists in the North Waziristan district.

During the fierce engagement, Pakistani troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, as a result of which two terrorists were sent to hell, ISPR stated.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, leading his troops from the front, Captain Muhammad Osama bin Arshad (age: 24 years, resident of Rawalpindi district), having fought gallantly, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat, ISPR stated.
