Pakistan’s President Pays Tribute to Martyred Soldiers of DI Khan Attack

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President, Dr. Arif Alvi, on Wednesday telephoned the families of the 20 soldiers who lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Dera Ismail Khan on December 12 and offered his heartfelt condolences.

During the phone conversations, the president paid tribute to the fallen soldiers and extended sympathies to the grieving families. He personally spoke with the family members of Havaldars Imran Khan, Muhammad Jamil, Muhammad Shahab, Fazal Subhan, Daud Shah, and Riasat Khan.

Moreover, President Alvi conveyed his condolences to the families of Naik Mukhtar Ali, Lance Naik Muhammad Ishaq, Muhammad Hayat, and Sagheer Ahmed, as well as Sopys Rehman Shah, Ghulam Murtaza, Muhammad Fayyaz, Ameer Hussain, Adnan, Muhammad Naseer, Waqarullah Khan, Wali Khan, Zulfiqar, and Nabeel Akhtar.

During his conversations, President Alvi saluted the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the homeland. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the entire nation for their dedicated service to the country. He strongly denounced the terrorist attack. 

President Alvi prayed to Allah Almighty for the elevation of the martyrs’ status in paradise and for patience and solace for the bereaved families.
