KARACHI: Pakistan’s President Dr. Arif Alvi emphasized the need to enhance bilateral trade volume with Bahrain and increase the export of skilled labour to the country during a meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Bahrain, Saqib Rauf, at the Governor House on Friday.

President Alvi noted the growing demand for skilled labour in various socio-economic fields, particularly in information technology and artificial intelligence, in the international market. He urged the ambassador-designate to focus on tapping into this market demand by facilitating the export of skilled workers from Pakistan.

President Alvi highlighted Pakistan’s strong and special relationship with Bahrain and underscored the importance of strengthening economic, educational, and cultural ties between the two countries.

He also emphasized the role of Pakistani embassies abroad in promoting the export of skilled labor from Pakistan and increasing foreign remittances for the country.
