ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday strongly condemned suicide attack on Chinese nationals in Bisham area of Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that left 6 innocent civilians, including 5 Chinese nationals.
He expressed profound grief and sorrow over the casualties and extended his condolences to the bereaved Chinese families and the Government of China, a press release from the Press Wing of the President Secretariat said.
The president reaffirmed that the enemies of Pakistan would never succeed in harming the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China.
Earlier today, ISPR in a statement said that strategic projects and sensitive sites crucial for Pakistan’s economic progress and the well-being of its people are being targeted in a deliberate attempt to hinder development and create discord between Pakistan and its strategic allies, notably China.
Certain foreign elements are actively involved in supporting and perpetrating terrorism in Pakistan, driven by their own selfish interests. Despite their attempts to appear innocent, these elements are consistently being exposed as sponsors of terror, said ISPR in a statement.
