Pakistan’s President Asif Zardari Pays Visit to Mazar-e-Quaid

KARACHI: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari paid a visit to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s mausoleum on Tuesday to pay respect to the Father of the Nation.

It was his first trip to the metropolitan city of Karachi after assuming charge as the president of Pakistan for the second time.

He laid a floral wreath at the grave of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and offered Fatiha. He also wrote comments in the visitors’ book.

Welcome for President

Asif Ali Zardari, at the occasion, was welcomed by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, Provincial president PPP Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and other senior officers of the provincial government.

Earlier, on his arrival at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, a smartly turned-out contingent of cadets from the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul presented guard of honour to President Asif Al Zardari.
