ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Dr Arif Alvi, on Tuesday approved the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Bill 2022.
PIMS bill provides for repealing the Federal Medical Teaching Institute (FMTI) Act 2021.

Earlier, President Arif Alvi, under Article 75 (1) (B) of Pakistan’s Constitution, had returned the bill to the parliament on November 8, 2022, for reconsideration.
The parliament had approved the amended bill in its joint session last month.
The president assented to the PIMS bill under Article 75 of the Constitution.
