ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Monday accorded approval to four bills related to money laundering, Financing of Terrorism, safety investigation, etc, under Article 75 of the Constitution.
According to a press release issued here by the President Secretariat Press Wing, Dr Alvi approved the National Logistics Corporation Bill, 2023, which provided the establishment of the Corporation.
Another bill the president granted approval for was the Pakistan Air Safety Investigation Bill, 2023. The purpose of the legislation in the context of the bill was to improve investigations into air and travel incidents.
President Approves Anti-Money Laundering Bill
Meanwhile, President Dr Arif Alvi sanctioned his approval to the Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terror Financing Bill, 2023. As per the legislation, the National Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism Authority would become active.
The president also granted his approval to the Gun and Country Club Bill, 2023. The legislation would make it easier for the establishment of Gun and Country Club Islamabad and provide legal cover to its management and arrangements.
