ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President, Dr. Arif Alvi, emphasized the importance of providing all mainstream political parties with the opportunity to participate in the upcoming general elections. He underscored that democracy loses its meaning if people cannot choose their leaders freely.
These remarks were made during a meeting with former federal minister and Senator, Muhammad Ali Durrani, at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
President Alvi stressed that the forthcoming general elections should be characterized by fairness, transparency, and inclusivity. He emphasized the need to grant equal opportunities to all political parties and their leadership, as this is vital for strengthening democracy in the country.

The President also highlighted the necessity for unity among political, institutional, and stakeholder groups in Pakistan to address various challenges, including economic issues. He called for a shift from bitterness to cooperation and forgiveness, noting that difficult decisions require the support and participation of the people.
