ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Research Centre for a Community with a Shared Future (PRCCSF) has achieved the highest ranking among 17 research centers across 155 partner countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). This recognition was conferred during the International Think Tank Forum 2023 held in Wuhu, China.

The PRCCSF was lauded for its substantial contribution to research and academic cooperation, not only within Pakistan but also on a global stage.

The center’s efforts in promoting the concept of a shared future, enhancing the BRI’s connectivity, and strengthening people-to-people relationships were all instrumental in securing this top position.

The International Think Tank Forum 2023, themed “Building a Community with a Shared Future and Belt and Road Initiative,” was jointly organized by the Communication University of China, Beijing, and Anhui Normal University in Wuhu.

The Executive Director of PRCCSF, representing Pakistan at the forum, expressed pride in the achievement. He mentioned that the Institute for a Community with a Shared Future in Beijing gathered 17 think tanks worldwide that focus on BRI connectivity and building a shared future.

International organizational cooperation is on the rise, with over 80 countries and international organizations subscribing to China’s initiative to promote unimpeded trade cooperation along the BRI.

The Pakistani expert emphasized that free trade agreements and customs inspection and quarantine procedures have enhanced efficiency at border ports, making trade and investment platforms pivotal tools for global cooperation.

He noted that the BRI has evolved into a symbol of economic growth, global connectivity, and international collaboration, with historical roots that foster economic globalization and contributions to global supply chains. This exemplifies its vital role at various levels of cooperation.
