ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, while appreciating Saudi Arabia’s exemplary Hajj arrangements, said on Monday that the country’s post-Hajj operation will conclude on July 10.
Speaking to the media after visiting various sections of the Pakistan Hajj Mission, the minister announced that following the successful completion of the pre-Hajj operation, the second phase has now begun and will continue until 10 July.
He noted that more than 11,000 pilgrims — including approximately 3,000 from Madinah — have returned to Pakistan so far.
The minister also shared those preparations for Hajj 2026 are already underway, as the Saudi authorities have released the Hajj policy and timeline for next year, enabling timely and efficient planning.
Sardar Yousaf extended heartfelt congratulations to all Pakistani pilgrims on the successful completion of their spiritual journey.
He also expressed profound gratitude to the Saudi leadership, especially King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammad bin Salman, and the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr.
Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, for their exemplary arrangements and warm hospitality extended to over 115,000 Pakistani pilgrims.
The Minister announced that Pakistan’s Director General Hajj, Abdul Wahab Soomro, has been honoured with an “Excellence Award” by the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah in recognition of his outstanding and innovative leadership in managing Hajj operations.
He added that every effort will be made to secure diamond and gold medals in the coming year.
Earlier, Director Hajj Madinah, Zia-ur-Rehman, provided a detailed briefing on post-Hajj arrangements, highlighting key measures implemented to effectively and promptly meet the needs of pilgrims.
Earlier, the minister visited the Main Control Office of the Pakistan Hajj Mission in Madinah, where he reviewed the functioning of key departments, including the Lost & Found Cell, Complaint Cell, Early Departure Desk, and IT Cell.
He also inspected the Medical Mission facilities, which included the dental clinic, minor operation theatre, pharmacy, and outpatient department (OPD), ensuring that all services were operating efficiently and were fully equipped to meet the needs of the pilgrims.
Reaffirming his strong commitment to the welfare of the Hajj pilgrims, the minister emphasised that every possible effort must be made to provide the highest level of comfort, care, and support to pilgrims throughout every stage of their spiritual journey.
