ISLAMABAD: Politicians in Pakistan are preparing to celebrate Eidul Fitr 2023 with their families and loved ones. The majority of the politicians will celebrate the festival in their respective hometowns, while some will spend Eid abroad.
President Dr Arif Alvi will celebrate Eidul Fitr in Islamabad, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will celebrate in Lahore. The ex-prime minister and PTI chief Imran Khan will also celebrate this year’s Eidul Fitr in Lahore.
Asif Ali Zardari, the former president and co-chairman of the PPP, has chosen to celebrate Eid in Nawabshah, while the Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, will observe the holiday in Larkana. Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif, the supreme leader of the PML-N, and his daughter Maryam Nawaz will spend Eid in Jeddah.
Maulana Fazl ur Rehman, the chief of the JUI-F, will offer Eid prayers in Dera Ismail Khan, while Siraj ul Haq, the Ameer of JI, will offer Eid prayers in Mansura, Lahore.
The Federal Interior Minister, Rana Sanaullah, will celebrate Eid in Faisalabad, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Raja Pervez Ashraf, will celebrate in Gujarkhan, and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi will celebrate in Gujarat. Chaudhry Moonis Elahi, on the other hand, will celebrate Eid in London.
Former Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and former Foreign Minister and PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi will celebrate Eidul Fitr in Multan, while Fawad Chaudhary will celebrate in Jhelum.
