Pakistan’s PM Vows to Continue Anti-polio Mission Till Complete Eradication

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar vowed to continue the anti-polio mission being carried out by the government till the complete eradication of the crippling disease from the country.

The prime minister stated this while presiding over an important meeting of the federal cabinet here at the PM House on Wednesday, adding that the government would leave no stone unturned to overcome the disease for the betterment of our future generation.

It is worth mentioning here that the Polio campaign is underway across the country from 8th to 14 January, where more than 40 million children will be vaccinated.

Pakistan’s PM Pays Tribute to Martyred

PM Kakar also paid rich tribute to the martyred personnel who lost their lives in Bajaur amid the polio campaign the other day, adding that the state would not forget their invaluable sacrifice for the motherland.

The Prime minister said that the deceased officials sacrificed their lives for the safety of future generations and reiterated the government’s commitment to eliminate all those elements working against humanity and the state.

He further said that terrorists could not discourage the firm resolve of the nation to combat the menace of polio.

Later, participants of the meeting offered fateha for the security officials protecting the polio eradication team, while the prime minister also appreciated the efforts of armed forces, police personnel, and polio workers for continuing the polio campaign in the country.
