LAHORE: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar emphasized the importance of providing quality education and skill development opportunities to harness the potential of youth.
Speaking at the inaugural convocation of the Institute for Art and Culture (IAC), PM Kakar highlighted the crucial role the country’s youth plays in driving economic growth and development in the modern era.
Prime Minister Kakar stressed that the youth of Pakistan are a valuable asset and encouraged investing in their education and skills to empower them to lead and innovate, contributing positively to the nation’s growth and development. He also urged students to give back to their communities, underlining their unique responsibility to contribute to society’s betterment.
In a rapidly changing world, the prime minister underscored the significance of education as a powerful tool to foster tolerance, understanding, and commitment to justice and equality in society. He urged young people to adapt to challenges and find solutions to pressing issues.
Prime Minister Kakar discussed government initiatives aimed at empowering the youth and boosting economic growth. He cited the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a transformative project with the potential to reshape the country’s economy. CPEC, through enhanced connectivity, energy infrastructure, and trade, was facilitating economic gains.
Additionally, the prime minister highlighted digital initiatives focused on bridging the digital divide and unleashing the IT potential in Pakistan, transforming it into an economy ready to meet global market demands.
Kakar advised students to view future challenges as opportunities, emphasizing the need for commitment, passion, and innovation in promoting social justice and positive impacts on society.
Pakistan, according to the prime minister, offers a range of investment opportunities, with the agriculture sector contributing significantly to the GDP. He also highlighted Pakistan’s strategic geographical location as a key player in regional and global trade networks.
Pakistan’s Youth Recognized as Key to Economic Development
The prime minister commended the contributions of Pakistan’s youth in various fields, including IT, science, technology, entrepreneurship, sports, and the arts. Their talents were garnering international recognition and portraying a positive image of the nation.

At the end, Prime Minister Kakar congratulated the graduating students, faculty members, and parents, expressing confidence in the students’ ability to contribute to both the country and the world with their talents and knowledge, reflecting the collective aspirations of Pakistan.
Chancellor IAC Faisal Janjua also appreciated the faculty and staff for their dedication to education and highlighted the IAC’s role in the country’s economic development.
The convocation concluded with the prime minister conferring bachelor’s degrees and presenting certificates, awards, and medals to successful students.
