ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar is scheduled to visit China next week, local media reported.
According to media reports, Prime Minister Kakar will leave for China on October 16 next week. During the Prime Minister’s visit, it is expected that 15 important agreements and MoUs under the mega CPEC project will be signed.
The caretaker prime minister will participate in the third Forum of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Project on October 17 and 18.
Agreements Between Pakistan and China
During PM Kakar’s visit, the ML-1 Railway project worth $6.67 billion will be signed. Under the ML-1 Railway project, the speed of the railcar has been reduced from 160km/h to 120km/h.
China has agreed to sign the amended agreement of the ML-1 railway project. The agreements about protocol for the export of dairy products, donkeys’ skin, and meat export will also be signed.
Besides this, agreements regarding advance metering infrastructure, Pakistan Space Centre and urban development of Gwadar under the CPEC will be initialed.
