ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday thanked his United Arab Emirate (UAE) counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his warm greetings on Pakistan’s Independence Day.
The Pakistani premier took to social media X to express appreciation for his UAE counterpart for his warm greetings. “I thank Your Highness and the entire leadership of UAE for always standing with Pakistan in our journey towards peace, progress and prosperity. I am confident that by working together, we can build a bright future for our people. Long live Pakistan-UAE brotherhood,” Shehbaz Sharif posted on his official X handle
In his Independence Day message, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum congratulated Pakistan’s leadership and people and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, exploring new avenues for growth, and building a prosperous future together.
Pakistan is celebrating its 77th Independence Day with a renewed pledge to work with the spirit of the Pakistan Movement to make the nation a true welfare state. The day dawned with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and a 21-gun salute in the provincial capitals. Special prayers were offered in mosques for solidarity, peace, and prosperity of the country.
