ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar affirmed on Tuesday the unwavering commitment to persist in the fight against terrorism until its total eradication from the nation’s soil.
In a social media post on platform X, the prime minister declared, “We will persevere until the menace of terrorism is entirely eliminated from our homeland.”
Prime Minister Kakar commended the courageous security forces for their successful operations in the Darazinda, Daraban, and Kulachi areas of District Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the elimination of 27 terrorists.

“The dedication, sacrifice, and valor exhibited by our soldiers in the face of terror are unparalleled and serve as a beacon of hope for our nation,” he expressed. The prime minister extended his heartfelt sympathies to the families of the martyrs.
Emphasizing the government’s steadfast commitment to eradicating terrorism and extremism, PM Kakar stated that such acts of violence would not deter the resolve of the security forces in their fight against terrorism. He directed the provision of the best possible medical treatment for those injured in the terrorist attack.
Terrorists Attack Police Compound in Northwestern Pakistan
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier today, a group of six terrorists attacked a security forces post compound in the general area of Daraban of Dera Ismail Khan. “The attempt to enter the post was effectively thwarted which forced the terrorists to ram an explosive-laden vehicle into the post, followed by a suicide bombing attack.
The resulting blasts led to the collapse of the building, causing multiple causalities; twenty-three brave soldiers embraced shahadat, while all six terrorists were effectively engaged and sent to hell,” said the ISPR in a statement.
The ISPR said that on the Night 11/ 12 December, 27 terrorists were killed during various operations in the Dera Ismail Khan District. “An intelligence-based operation was conducted in general area Darazinda on the reported presence of terrorists. During the conduct of the operation, terrorists’ hideout was busted, and seventeen terrorists were sent to hell,” said the ISPR in a statement on Tuesday.
It said in another intelligence-based operation in the general area Kulachi, the troops effectively engaged terrorists’ location and killed four terrorists. However, the military’s media wing added, after an intense exchange of fire, two brave sons of the soil, having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.
